Affiliate Disclosure

Vent & Valve is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

What that means in plain English

When you click a product link on this site and buy something on Amazon, Amazon pays us a small commission. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid arriving at Amazon any other way. The commission comes out of Amazon's side, not yours.

That commission is how the site stays running. It pays for the hosting and the hours that go into the guides. There are no ads or sponsored posts here, and nobody pays for placement.

Product links on this site point through addresses that look like ventandvalve.com/go/product-name. These are our own tracked outbound links. They forward you straight to the product on Amazon with our affiliate tag attached. We use them so we can tell which guides actually help people find the right gear, and so a broken or discontinued product link can be fixed in one place.

About prices

We never publish prices. Amazon prices change daily, sometimes hourly, and a quoted price would be stale before you read it. Where cost matters to a verdict, we use tier language like Budget, Mid, and Premium instead. The price you see after clicking through comes from Amazon at that moment, and that is the price that counts.

Commissions never pick the products

Recommendations are made first, based on the method described on the how we test page. The affiliate link gets attached after. No product earns a spot because of its commission rate, and plenty of pages here recommend the cheapest option in the category or no purchase at all.

Questions about any of this are welcome through the contact page. For who runs the site, see about Vent & Valve.
